BUILDING COMPLIANCE
 

With our large scale involvement in many aspects of the building industry we are able to provide clients with an effective building compliance service. This service provides clients assurance to legislative requirements established by the Building Act, Building Standards, Codes and Regulations.

There are significant penalties and insurance issues for owners of commercial buildings if they fail to meet the various requirements. We can remove many of these issues by taking responsibility for maintaining and managing building compliance.

As part of this service Zelko offers building owners:

  • Establishment and checking of registers to record inspections and maintenance
  • Planned inspections, checks and testing
  • Planned routine maintenance
  • Annual building warrant of fitness certificates
  • Identification of any future maintenance issues

WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY
 

We have extensive experience in advising and supporting businesses with their workplace health and safety. There are significant penalties for not complying with legislative requirements. Unfortunately legislative compliance often overshadows the other benefits of having an effective workplace health and safety management system.

In providing clients with health and safety programmes, we:

  • Develop a management system that supports legislative compliance and meets NZ Standards. This includes preparing documentation and assisting with employee involvement, training and awareness.
  • Provide advice and support to management and supervisors.
  • Carry out internal audits of workplace health and safety systems.
  • Develop health and safety plans to meet specific business operations or contract requirements. This includes developing procedures, check lists and records to demonstrate compliance.

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COMPLIANCE

 

Zelko offers assistance to clients with Resource Management compliance. We can tailor this assistance to meet the requirements of the client in areas of:

  • Managing the process for obtaining resource consents
  • Establishing systems and procedures to ensure consent conditions and permits are complied with
  • Establishing emergency procedures in the event that a consent is breached to mitigate the effects of the breach
